Central Harlem Bikeway
Adam Clayton Powell Blvd is a major corridor in Central Harlem and has the potential to become the safest and most multi-use road connecting Upper Manhattan into the Bronx and beyond. We need a fully protected bicycle lane on ACP from 110th to 155th streets.
Lower Speed Limits for NYC: Pass Sammy’s Law in the State Budget
Support giving NYC the ability to set speed limits and save lives by demanding that Albany pass Sammy’s Law.
#WashingtonBridge4People
Let's create a people-centered bridge for the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
Zero on Hylan
The Department of Transportation knew about the dangers posed by street conditions on Hylan Boulevard for decades and had the tools to fix this deadly street. Instead, they allowed three children to die. Enough is enough.
Motor Parkway East
Completing the Motor Parkway Greenway to Long Island creates safe transportation and recreation options for Eastern Queens residents; support Motor Parkway East.
Connect & Protect Ashland & Navy
We support protected bike lanes on Ashland and Navy, from Atlantic Terminal up to Flushing Avenue, which is currently a critical missing link in Brooklyn's protected bike network.
Make Metropolitan Avenue Move
Metropolitan Avenue is a chaotic truck route that desperately needs a complete overhaul in order to adequately serve the residents and businesses of this area. This is a vital corridor for residents, and we demand a street that functions better as well as positively contributes to our quality of life.
Broadway Linear Park
We are calling on the Mayor and our elected officials to redesign Broadway from Columbus Circle to Union Square into the Broadway Linear Park (BLiP) for everyone to enjoy for generations to come.
The BLiP will transform the avenue into a new destination, integrating nature, art, design, and people in a unique way, inspiring New Yorkers and visitors and transforming this boulevard into an oasis for businesses while encouraging sustainable, safe, and healthy transportation choices.
Clinton Hill Safe Streets
The Clinton Hill Safe Streets campaign began when area residents were forced into action by the horrific crash in September 2021 that claimed the life of 3-month-old Apolline Mong-Guillemin. Our supporters are parents, children, pedestrians, drivers, and cyclists in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
River to River, and Around the Park
We are calling on the NYC Department of Transportation and our elected officials to build safe crosstown access in Upper Manhattan.
The vast majority of New Yorkers do not move around the city and commute by car. In Manhattan, only 5.9% of owned vehicles are used for commuting and more people are choosing walking and cycling as a green and preferred means of transportation. However, our neighborhoods on the Upper East and West Sides still lack safe east-west corridors to move across town.
Complete Street for Utopia Parkway
Utopia Parkway is an integral North-South street in Eastern Queens that thousands of students cross on a daily basis, risking their lives every time they go to school; support Complete Street for Utopia Parkway.
Let's Build the North Shore Greenway!
Imagine a pedestrian and cyclist greenway stretching around the periphery of Staten Island’s North Shore, all the way from the Verrazzano Bridge to the Goethals Bridge. Tired of imagining?Let's Build the North Shore Greenway! (For some additional reading: Ringing in the Greenway)
Exclusive Walkway & Bikeway on the Queensboro Bridge
The Queensboro Bridge South Outer Walkway petition calls for separate pedestrian and bike lanes on the dangerously overcrowded Queensboro Bridge. With physical distancing protocol in effect, now more than ever, we need to create space for pedestrians, cyclists and all other users of the bridge to maintain space and secure safe passage across the bridge.
In Memory of Matthew Jensen, Community Demands Life-Saving Improvements for McGuinness Boulevard
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, 58-year-old Matthew Jensen was killed in a tragic hit and run crash while crossing McGuinness Boulevard. The senseless death of Mr. Jensen proves what our North Brooklyn community has already known for more than a decade — McGuinness Boulevard remains one of the most dangerous corridors in Brooklyn, and incremental improvements are not working to calm the traffic. Join our call on Mayor de Blasio to make this corridor safe for all users and rebuild the street so cars are forced to drive slower.
Support a safe and permanent Berry Open Street
Create a safe and sustainable permanent design for the Berry Open Street for all of our neighbors!
Support Protected Bike Lanes in Bayside and Oakland Gardens
Tell CB11Q and your elected officials why you need protected bike lanes to connect homes and schools to parks and greenways; support Protected Bike Lanes in Bayside and Oakland Gardens.
Walk/Bike the Verrazzano
Built in 1964, the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge was constructed without pedestrian or bicycle access, despite the public’s desire for it. We are calling for the opening of pedestrian and bicycle pathways on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge through either the installation of a new pathway or the conversion of an existing lane of vehicular traffic.
Fix Canal Street
Canal Street is the most dangerously congested street in Lower Manhattan; support traffic calming and safety to fix Canal Street.
Extend & Improve the 34th Ave Open Street
Support the extension of 34th Avenue Open Street through Corona to 114th Street and, ultimately, its transformation to Paseo Park.
