Expand Student OMNY

The vast majority of New York City's students walk, bike, or take public transit to get to school – but the current student OMNY card program traps young New Yorkers at the turnstile, cutting them off from opportunities beyond the classroom. 

Under the current program, many students are excluded because they live too close to school – even though they still rely on transit for access for internships and extracurricular activities. Students who qualify are still limited to only four rides a day and their travel is flagged whenever it deviates from their typical route.
