Campaign History
Clove Road connects two popular parks. It’s a busy Staten Island thoroughfare with no safety measures to protect local residents from dangerous traffic. T.A.’s Staten Island Activist Committee is calling for bike lanes and traffic calming on Clove Road to reduce dangerous speeding and give more Staten Island residents safe access to healthy transportation choices and open space.
TransAlt Activists won approval for a NYC Department of Transportation study from Staten Island Community Board 1 in November 2013, and CB1 approved the final plan for improving Clove Road in June 2015. NYC DOT installed these improvements in August 2015.
