New Yorkers Overwhelmingly Support Bike Share, Bike LanesBike Share Support Is A Five-Borough Phenomenon
A Quinnipiac University poll released today found that 72 percent of New York City adults support the City's bike share program, which will roll out next year, and majority support for bike lanes holds steady at 58 percent. "Months before the bike share program even begins, these numbers show New Yorkers' demand for bicycling as transportation," said Paul Steely White, Executive Director of Transportation Alternatives. "Bike share will meet that demand and unlock the full potential of the city's growing network of bike lanes to give New Yorkers a practical and convenient new transportation option."
