Campaign History

The Pulaski Bridge is a critical connection between Queens and Brooklyn, but bicycles and pedestrians are forced to share a crowded sidewalk on its span. The streets leading to and from the bridge lack the bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure needed to keep New Yorkers safe. The T.A. Queens Activist Committee is calling for a protected bike path on the Pulaski Bridge, to keep pedestrians and bicyclists out of each other’s way and out of harm’s way while slowing lethal speeding on the bridge and on McGuinness Boulevard, and a bike lane on 11th Street, to help New Yorkers access this critical connection safely and reduce deadly speeding on the approach to the bridge.
