Cyclists Assert Right to the Queensboro Bridge Bike Lane: Tuesday, Nov. 12th

On Tuesday, November 12th, bicyclists and pedestrians will assert their right to use the Queensboro Bridge bike lane during the evening rush hour. People wanting to use the bridge unimpeded will gather at 6 pm at the Manhattan entrance to the bridge bike path, 59th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues.


March 1, 2004

On Tuesday, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission will issue a binding report that will either allow or deny the New York City Department of Transportation permission to build a seven-foot tall chain link fence across the walking and cycling path on the Queensboro Bridge—an official City and Federal landmark.
