Four People Struck by Cars in NYC, One Killed
By Jack Phillips
NEW YORK - A van struck and killed a bicyclist on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning. A few hours later, a pedestrian was struck in DUMBO and another cyclist was struck on Lexington Avenue. A third cyclist was hit in East New York, says Transportation Alternatives, who says that the accidents are not just merely coincidence. "The only way out of this chaos is through safer streets and safer drivers sharing the roads," said Paul Steely White, the executive director of Transportation Alternatives.
