Bike Report Card

T.A.'s 12th Annual Bike Report Card

For 11 years, T.A. has issued its annual Bike Report Card every winter. This year, the Report Card features a new breakdown, focusing on the agencies and personalities that made for the most dynamic year ever in New York City bicycling.

There was a lot to be proud of, like the unprecedented roll out of 80 new miles of bike lanes, the first-ever City Council hearing on indoor bicycle parking legislation, and strong allies both from the community and within City government that stuck to their guns and chose to back common sense reform of our streets over not-in-my-backyard opposition.

The report card will be featured in the Winter 2009 issue of Reclaim Magazine. We ask readers of StreetBeat to grade the agencies and personalities in charge of NYC streets. Your verdict will stand alongside T.A.'s in the issue. The story will also rate other, less visible City agencies not listed here.
