A Tree-Lined Street Grows in Brooklyn
Check out this new design for Adams Street in Brooklyn, the major approach to the Brooklyn Bridge. The project is sponsored by the City's Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and calls for major street improvements like wider medians and more street trees. The redesign, which is now underway and should be completed in the next three to six months, also includes a bike lane edged by Belgian block from Fulton Street to Tillary Street. Unfortunately, the project will not entail any improvements to the busy Brooklyn Bridge exit/entrance - Tillary Street intersection.
