Wednesday Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Northeast wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday Night Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 29. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
But hey, it's dry, so no big deal.
Plus, you've still got time to take a cold-weather cycling class:
Thinking about biking in NYC this winter, but don’t know how to get started? 🚲 Sign up for free Urban Road School or Cold Weather Riding #bikenyc classes this month. Space is limited, please RSVP via https://t.co/kcR4xtjCWA.— NYC DOT (@NYC_DOT) December 3, 2018

In case you were wondering, sabotaging cyclists with office supplies does not rise to the level of a "hate crime:"
Targeting bicyclists with thumbtacks is not a hate crime, @NYPDONeill says when asked.— J. David Goodman (@jdavidgoodman) December 4, 2018
See, as much as it may feel like one, cycling is not in fact a religion:
Therefore, on the NYPD scale, setting booby traps for cyclists remains somewhere between "minor nuisance" and "mitzvah."
In any case, the motorist behavior we encounter every day is arguably way more dangerous than thumbtacks, and it remains implicitly condoned:
#BikeNYC blocker of the day. This truck managing to block BOTH the 21st lane AND THE ENTIRE Broadway bike lane. Asked him politely to move up and he wouldn’t. Told him I’d call NYPD and he said go ahead. Called @NYPD13Pct and they didn’t even answer the phone. 🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/Z2I8HPqGmS— 12stTales (@mossgazer) December 4, 2018
And here's another truck I spotted on my ride yesterday which was spanning two crosswalks:
There should be some kind of law against using trucks this big in the city:
Oh, wait, there is.
This was in the 34th Precinct, and here's how many oversized truck tickets they've written this year to date:
Also on my ride I saw Jump bikes in the Bronx:
As well as the odd dockless Citi Bike hanging out nearby like that sparrow trying to blend in with the pigeons:
And with the year almost over Dyckman Street still has no bike lane:
The mayor said back in September that he'd address this, but I don't think Santa's going to be bringing a bike lane this year.
